Famous and Loved Out and Proud LGBT Couples
Kristy McNichol (62) & Martie Allen (65) – Married A Few Years After Meeting In 1991
Kristy McNichol and Martie Allen share one of the most passionate Hollywood same-gender love stories. They have both worked as actresses in the past, but have now stepped away from the show business. McNichol gained a reputation as a young actress by appearing in movies such as Only When I Laugh and Little Darlings. Allen, on the other hand, is a former struggling actress who never made it to the big screen. Inseparable since their first meeting in 1991, McNichol and Allen soon got married a few years after. They have kept their relationship private until they publicly came out in 2012.
Ali Krieger (35) & Ashlyn Harris (34) – Met While Playing For The US National Soccer Team
Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris are two professional female soccer players who met while playing together for the US national team. They have been playing for the same team, Orlando Pride, since 2017. Krieger plays as a defender, while Ashlyn is a goalkeeper.

They met in 2010, back when they were two young women who share the same dreams and feelings. They fell in love quite naturally and will be finally officializing their love through a wedding ceremony almost a decade after. They announced their engagement in 2019 and are expected to tie the knot anytime soon.
Kendrell Bowman & Anthony Wayne – Collaborated in The Same Broadway Show
Kendrell Bowman and Anthony Wayne are more than just a same-gender couple; they are best friends and collaborators in the same Broadway show, the critically acclaimed Mighty Real: A Fabulous Sylvester Musical. To make a musical with the love of your life is the sort of situation some couples dream of being involved in, and these two are surely proud of their “baby”.

Bowman and Wayne decided to create the musical after watching an Unsung episode about the late American Disco singer Sylvester, who is known for his flamboyance and influence in the African-American LGBT community during the early and late ’70s.
Cynthia Nixon (53) & Christine Marinoni (52) – Met Right After Cynthia’s Divorce
In 2003, actress Cynthia Nixon was going over her break-up with Danny Mozes, an actor she was married to since 1988. In that same year, she met Christine Marinoni, an education activist and policy analyst with whom she fell in love immediately. It was her first publicly confirmed relationship with a woman, but it’s one built to last.

These two lovebirds became engaged in 2009 and welcomed their first son two years after. In a recent interview, Cynthia confessed she had never been with a woman before and that she considers love to be gender-neutral. In 2012, Cynthia and Christine celebrated their love with a wedding ceremony.
Billy Porter (50) & Adam Smith (37) – Got Married in a Hurry in 2017
You have probably seen Billy Porter before; the notable Broadway actor is known for his flamboyant red carpet appearances and undeniable talent for singing, acting, and stealing away the show. His husband, however, seems to have a more discreet personality. He’s Adam Smith, a much-younger businessman who is the co-owner of the eyewear brand Native Ken.

This lovely duo tied the knot in 2017, a few months after getting engaged. They wanted to get married while Barack Obama was still the president of the United States. For that reason, they ended up rushing the ceremony.
