These Golden Era Stars You Forgot About Are Still Alive & Doing Better

Brigitte Bardot – 1934

A symbol of the ’50s and ’60s beauty, Brigitte Bardot is a former French actress and singer. She also got into modeling with her stunning looks.

Many of her fans were mesmerized by her blonde locks, beautiful face, and undeniable talent. Brigitte starred in films such as Viva Maria, And God Created Woman, as well as Le Mepris.

In 1973, Bardot decided to become an advocate for animal protection and retired early from the showbiz industry. The activist’s exceptional passion in that field had even moved her to write an open letter condemning an Australian politician who planned to eradicate two million cats to save the endangered Warru and Night Parrot.

Connie Stevens – 1938

We all remember Connie Stevens, who made a mark for herself in Hollywood with her exceptional singing and acting ability. Often dubbed as the “teen idol of the 60s,” Connie’s beauty, singing, and acting prowess was much praised in teen and later adult film dramas.

Coming from a musical family where both her parents were jazz musicians, Connie formed a couple of vocal groups, first The Foremost and later The Three Debs. She began lining up singing commercials in the early 70s to rejuvenate her fame.

Following her split with Eddie Fisher, she entirely became out of sync with Hollywood and started facing a financial struggle. But with her neve-say-die attitude, she turned the situation around to become a self-made tycoon and her fans are truly surprised by that. Now 80 years old Connie could spend her retirement without worrying about bankruptcy.

Kim Novak – 1933

Kim Novak’s acting portfolio started building up when she signed a deal with Columbia Pictures in the mid-’50s, appearing in films such as The Man With the Golden Arm. Since then Novak didn’t have to look back as she went on delivering few back-to-back hits including Vertigo. She has been given the coveted Golden Globe Award for his performance in Phffft. However, the blonde beauty will always be remembered for her starring role in Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller Vertigo.

She then started losing interest in acting. After her last acting performance in the 1991 movie Liebestraum, she decided to leave the industry for good. Though it’s being said that as an actress she never reached her potential, she definitely left a lasting impression in the industry. Now sitting far from the Tinseltown, 87-year-old Novak is spending her post-retirement life with her beloved husband, expressing herself through photography and painting. Even at this age she still looks stunning and has kept her spirit alive. Did she go through any kind of anti-aging therapy or surgery? We don’t know, but she definitely deserves credit for that.

Linda Evans – 1942

For more than five decades Linda Evans has remained the living embodiment of grace and beauty to the audience of American television. Her first notable role was in the show The Big Valley. While this made her quite known, nothing could compare to how famous she became when she played Krystle Carrington in the original Dynasty series back in the 80s. Her portrayal of the role won her the Best Actress award at the Golden Globe Awards back in 1982. Evans has stopped acting since 1998, but she has reappeared through the docu-series titled The ’80s Greatest in 2018.

Linda has done quite well for herself as she is one of the actresses from back then who clearly has some serious anti-aging secrets because she looks flawless at her current age of 77. Without any surgery, her beauty doesn’t seem to fade away despite the passing of time. Possibly a fat bank account and strict fitness workout have made things easy for her. Keep glowing Linda like you always do!

Nancy Sinatra — 1940

As a progeny of the legendary musician Frank Sinatra, one would expect Nancy Sinatra to also become a musician. And so she did not disappoint. In 1965, she released her album The Boots are Made for Walkin which received much critical acclaim to reach number one position in Billboard Hot 100. Nancy went on to record music and sing from the 1960s and went on to release music all the way till 2013 when her last album dropped. Since then Nancy has been lying low and settling in comfortably into retirement.

The music diva was also ventured into acting for a brief period. But in 2012 she had to go under the knife for laser eye surgery to cure the eyesight problem. It is of no surprise that being the descendant of famous Frank Sinatra Nancy surely had a lot of fortune in her name. But as a successful musician herself, she garnered an enviable net worth of her own to keep the financial issues at bay.
